Step 1: Reserve Your NGO Name

- Await approval via SMS and in your eCitizen profile.
Step 2: Prepare the Required Documents

General Information

- The ministry under which your NGO’s objectives fall.
Officials’ Details
- At least three key officials: Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
- At least one board member (more may be required).
- 2 passport photos for each official and board member.
- Copies of national ID/passport, KRA PIN, and tax compliance certificates.
- Police clearance certificates (Certificate of Good Conduct with fingerprints and receipt – not older than 6 months).
- Foreign officials must provide notarized clearance from their country of origin.
Note: For international NGOs, at least one-third of the board members must be Kenyan.

- A draft NGO Constitution (signed in triplicate).
- Minutes from a meeting authorizing the application, with a specific resolution.
